BRAIN

WHAT IS IT’?
A team of doctors and psychologists offers the Patient and his family a path aimed at the diagnostic and therapeutic classification of the conditions of brain aging.

WHO IS IT FOR?
The Neurocognitive Check up is aimed at people who experience symptoms such as loss of memory, anxiety and melancholy and want to understand if these symptoms are to be considered normal changes due to aging or early manifestations of diseases of the nervous system, such as example, Alzheimer’s disease or depression.

The Check up Mind is divided into several phases. Based on the results obtained in the first screening phase, the medical specialist suggests whether to complete the check up or continue with further investigations.

• Screening phase
– neurological examination
– blood tests
– psychological evaluation.

A week later a second meeting with the neurologist is scheduled during which the results of the exams will be announced.

If the investigations are found to be normal, further investigations will not be suggested; if, on the other hand, anomalies have emerged from the examinations, an individualized diagnostic analysis will be recommended.

• Diagnostic in-depth phase
It consists of diagnostic tests that are chosen in a personalized way between:
– CT and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance)
– ecodoppler of supra-aortic trunks
– other visits (cardiologist, endocrinologist).

At the end of the diagnostic in-depth phase, a further neurological examination is scheduled in which the diagnosis is formulated and the therapeutic path is identified.

• Therapeutic phase
Depending on the condition identified, different therapeutic scenarios may occur.
to. Pharmacological therapy: prescribed by the neurologist or psychiatrist
b. Cognitive rehabilitation: articulated in cycles of meetings with the neuropsychologist
c. Psychological interviews: articulated in cycles of meetings with the psychologist
